AYA House provides transitional housing in a home environment to individuals coming out of incarceration, substance abuse treatment, and chronic homelessness.

The AYA House Mission is to provide an affordable, home like environment for adults, age 18 and older who have successfully completed primary residential treatment for substance dependence and who have the sincere desire to remain in a supportive recovering community as the practice and develop their sober lifestyle and continue to grow mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially.

Peer Support

All our participants are assigned a Peer Support Specialist. The Peer Support Specialist works on helping the participant to consider their situation, what choices were made and how the participant can modify their thinking to become more constructive and productive. Short and long-term goals are developed and evaluated over time with guidance on navigating and achieving the goals. Emphasis is placed on helping the participant not to define themselves by their addiction/situation, but to look ahead and see a new definition of themselves in the next 12 months.

Three Stages Of Housing

Each stage has goals in the areas of Holistic Health, Career Path, and Moving Towards Stability

Stage 1: Setting The Foundation

Addressing the root causes and beginning to see what a different future can look like.

Stage 2: Building on Greatness

Continuing the work from stage 1, taking more responsibility to gain more autonomy, while still receiving support.

Stage 3: Preparing to Launch

Providing maximum autonomy while saving money, building on the knowledge and skills gained in the previous stages, and getting prepared to move into independent housing.
